Just before Yuri Stepanenko did his talk on Laser Technique Symposium (PL)
we have submitted a patent claim on mode-locking (forcing pulsed operation)
of polarization maintaining fiber based lasers via nonlinear polarization evolution.
Hopefully soon you'll be able to read all about it in one of reviewed journals.
Spectral compression in CVBG
How to get a narrowband pulse? See our last
(Spectral compression of femtosecond pulses
using chirped volume Bragg gratings)
on how to make it when starting from broadband one.
Diamond of Hamburg
Tomasz Kardaś is in Max Planck Institute (DESY Hamburg) where he's polishing supercontinuum generation in diamond simulation and does some simulation trainings.
The all-PM-fiber oscillator
developed in Laser Centre will be used
as a source for in fiber supercontinuum generation.
Hussar and Hydra
Our team was granted access to the Hydra supercomputer of the ICM.
The main goal is to go parrallel with Hussar, but its the current version
will also be used for supercontinuum generation modeling.
Hamburg Supercontinuum Challenge
Hussar will be used for supercontinuum generation simulation
in bulk optical crystals. Will this be a beginning of a beautiful
friendship with a group from Max Planck Institute?
FDTD of fusilli pasta
Can the left and right circular polarized light be selectively diffracted by an italian cuisine device?
See our recent publication in Applied Physics Letters.
On 27.11.2015 students can enter optical laboratories in the Phystics Department Pasteura 5
Will Hussar go parallel?
On Thursday (2015.10.15) at 10:00 Tomasz Kardaś will give a seminar
at Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM).
The subject - quantum noise in the OPCPA systems and possibility of parallelization
of the Hussar software. (more)
New Power Range
When you're in need Hussar will come to your help.
This time it becomes a tool for the new Terawatt OPCPA design.
NOPA vs OPA - Hussar resolves
Parametric amplifier based on the femtosecond laser oscillator?
Not a challenge to our team. The question arises, however, for such small
pulse energies, which is better: NOPA or simple OPA?
Meet us at PKO2015
Tomasz Kardaś will be at Polish Optical Conference in Legnica with
a talk on Hussar.
He will also present a poster about UPPL
and our software working in real time on a tablet PC.
You can meet him during poster session.
Meet us at CLEO/Europe
Yuri Stepanenko and Jan Szczepanek will be there at CLEO/Europe in Munich
with our software doing real time simulation (UPPL)
on a tablet PC.
You can meet them on 24.06 between 1 and 2 pm in the hall B0, next to the CF-P.8 poster by Jan.
UPPL 0.5 version premiere this month
The premiere of the UPPL verion 0.5 will take place till the end of this month.
We still debate on whether you'll have to fill some form or send an e-mail to get it though.
