Hussar 1.1 is out

With fixes and several new features requested by the users we release the new version (1.1) of Hussar (more). To complete the documentation we have added a “Class and Function Reference Manual” to our website.

NPE in PM fiber now published

See our article on the subject in Optics Letters and some more details here: (more).
2016.10.04
ML in PMF via NPE

Just before Yuri Stepanenko did his talk on Laser Technique Symposium (PL) we have submitted a patent claim on mode-locking (forcing pulsed operation) of polarization maintaining fiber based lasers via nonlinear polarization evolution. Hopefully soon you'll be able to read all about it in one of reviewed journals.

Spectral compression in CVBG

How to get a narrowband pulse? See our last publication (Spectral compression of femtosecond pulses using chirped volume Bragg gratings) on how to make it when starting from broadband one. (more)

Diamond of Hamburg

Tomasz Kardaś is in Max Planck Institute (DESY Hamburg) where he's polishing supercontinuum generation in diamond simulation and does some simulation trainings. (more)

Hussar and Hydra
Our team was granted access to the Hydra supercomputer of the ICM. The main goal is to go parrallel with Hussar, but its the current version will also be used for supercontinuum generation modeling.
2015.12.10
Hamburg Supercontinuum Challenge

Hussar will be used for supercontinuum generation simulation in bulk optical crystals. Will this be a beginning of a beautiful friendship with a group from Max Planck Institute? (more)

Will Hussar go parallel?
On Thursday (2015.10.15) at 10:00 Tomasz Kardaś will give a seminar at Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM). The subject - quantum noise in the OPCPA systems and possibility of parallelization of the Hussar software. (more)

NOPA vs OPA - Hussar resolves

Parametric amplifier based on the femtosecond laser oscillator? Not a challenge to our team. The question arises, however, for such small pulse energies, which is better: NOPA or simple OPA? (more)
